SecretBack in about 2006 the rebirth of the pseudo-scientific Law of Attraction was published in the self-help and spirituality book written by Rhonda Byrne entitled “The Secret”. The book claims that by using the “Laws of Attraction”, an individual can become wealthier, healthier, and happier. The “Laws of Attraction” are the “secret”. The Secret outlines in the book that the Law of Attraction has been known by famous and influential people for centuries to achieve super successful lives, but there has been a conspiracy to keep these secrets hidden from the general public for their own benefit only. The book achieved high sales after being featured in two episodes of Oprah.

The book has also reached a high level of notoriety and criticism from people who claim that the book was misleading people with claims that positive thinking was all that was needed to influence ones life and real-world outcomes. There were things that seemingly were left out specifically action must be taken to along with positive thought to achieve greatness and make your dreams become a reality.

The adventures of Rhonda Byrne and her intentions to empower all others to live a life of joy was a fantastic gesture to mankind. There were a few things that should have been really driven home and were left out or overlooked. The fact that work was also involved as a crucial part of the success formula may have needed to be mentioned, there is no way that Rhonda Byrne just sat around on her butt wishing the world would happen and it did. Look at some of the greatest successes in history what did these people have in common, Andrew Carnegie, Winston Churchill, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, and Henry Ford? Besides the positive focus on their vision and goals, they took massive action with persistence to acheve and become what they accomplished.

Massive action is a funny thing, it produces failures and sometimes allot of them. I’m sure that Rhonda Byrne has not been successful with every thing she has done, but I didn’t hear mention of that point once. The great thing about failures is you now know what not to do or what to stop doing, one more thing out of the way, so you can move on until your results are your desired ones. Success is failing forward fast.

Most anyone that uses the basic laws of attraction, give with out expiation, help others get what they want and you will more than get what you want, etc are well on their way to living their dreams. You need to make things happen on purpose with focus and action to achieve your dreams, programming your brain correctly is super important but not the end all.
